When the drone’s altitude changes significantly which may cause the depth or temperature shows not right or the drone doesn't listen to the commands then it may need a calibration.How do I calibrate the Dory drone?
Acceleration:
*Lay the Dory drone flat on the ground to keep it level, then calibrate the accelerator/depth/level according to the instructions on the app , then restart the Dory drone if it fails or succeeds.（When calibrating the drone, the app will come up some tips about the calibrating movements.）
*It needs to hold a few seconds after each calibration action, then start the next action. Regardless the calibration is failed or success, it requires restarting the drone and APP.
Horizontal calibration:
*Lay the Dory drone flat on the ground to keep it level, click on horizontal calibration, restart the drone and app after completion
Depth calibration:
* Lay the Dory drone flat on the ground to keep it level, click on depth calibration, restart the drone and app after completion

About Live stream
*The Stream live of Chasing Dory need to use the 4g signal, please kindly confirm if your mobile/ tablet could use the 4g traffic first,and there is 4G signal in the area.
*Click the logo on the left lower corner of the APP screen, fill in the Url and Key from your live broadcast platform, and click to start.

How to turn on the Dory 5 Ghz WiFi?
5G WiFi can be switched on the settings of the APP interface.
What should I do if the app crashes?
Try to delete the app and reinstall the latest app. If it is still not working, please record the faulty in a short video and provide the SN of the drone, phone / tablet model, and contact team@wanderlustdrones.com for further help.
Where are the images stored? How can I get the images from Chasing Dory?
The images are stored on the insert SD card of the Chasing Dory, you could preview and download the images on the media of the Dory APP.
What is the longest video the can the Chasing Dory record?
Chasing Dory can record 7.5 hours of 1080p video.

What is the power of the Chasing Dory motor?
Dory motor is rated at 40W.
How often should I change the Chasing Dory propellers?
The only time you should change the Chasing Dory propellers is break while using.
Why do the motors run out of control automatically after unlocking in the water?
When you push the propellers unlocking button on the remote controller, the Gladius mini default is depth-locked mode so the motors will run automatically.
What do I do if the Chasing Dory motors lock up on me?
There needs to be maintenance work done on the motors, please contact support@chasing-innovation for cleaning procedures.

No, you can not take apart the motors and still be under warranty. Once the motors are taken apart your warranty on the Chasing Dory is void.

The battery of the Chasing Dory is 48Wh (4800mAh). The remote controller is 400mAh.

The connection frequency of the remote controller is 2.4GHz - 5GHz.

How do I confirm the remote control batteries fully charged?
The four green lights on the right will stay lit. Each light represents 25% power.
Why doesn't my remote controller connect to my phone or tablet device?
* Please read the user manual carefully. Android devices need to ensure that all permissions are turned on when the Bluetooth connection screen pops up.
* Some old and uncommon mobile phones may be unable to connect to the controller, and it is suggested to try other smartphones.

When I charge the remote controller, why is the remote controller charging lights not on?

Buoy
- Does the buoy need to be charged or not?
No, the buoy doesn’t need to be charged.
Can buoys be thrown in the water?
Yes, be sure to tie the buoy with anti-lost rope to avoid the losing.
What is the maximum WiFi transmission distance between the buoy and the mobile/tablet?
15 meters. Considering that there may be some radio interference, it recommend to keep as close as possible between your mobile/tablet and buoy.
Drone Body
What is the size and weight of the Chasing Dory ?
The size of the drone body is 9.7*7.4*3.6 inches, the total weight is <2.5 lbs (1.1 kg).
Compared with Gladius mini, what is the difference between Dory's positioning and usage scenarios?
We suggested to use Chasing Dory in a calm sea, lake or pond, it's much easier to operate, more suitable for entry-level enthusiasts underwater exploration.
Can the Chasing Dory drone use in the ice area?
Yes. The operating temperature of Chasing Dory is 14℉~140℉.
What are the pre-dive safety measures before using?
*Make sure the battery is fully charged before using it.
*Chasing Dory is used in open water where the water is relatively clear and peace and there is no dense seaweed or weeds in a lake area.
* Do not turn on the drones LED lights before entering the water.
* Do not use in pools with high chloride amounts or other chemicals to avoid corrosion.
*Do not run drone motors out of water for more than two minutes to prevent ceasing the thruster motors.
*Check the tether connectors,if moisture is present, wipe with the Chasing provided towel.
What are the post-dive safety measures after using?
*Please use fresh water to wash the drone body and dry with a towel, then store in a cool storage area. (After using it in sea, please put it in fresh water and turn it on, let the drone run for 5-10 minutes to discharge the salt)
*Do not put heavy objects on the Chasing Dory to avoid damage.
*Please charge the battery if the power level is less than 25%.
*Keep the battery at 50-80% when idle to extend the battery life of the Chasing Dory.
*Charge and discharge at least once every three months.
What is the use of the hook in the package?
You can use it to clean up the debris stuck on the motor blades.
How do I judge if the Chasing Dory has started up properly?
When connect the buoy and the drone body the drone will start automatically with LED lights flash. Accompanied by two self-test sounds. And the Breathing lights will show green, red lights shows no connection.
Where can I find the serial number(SN) on the Chasing Dory?
The serial number is on the bottom of the Chasing Dory body. Or you can find it on the APP-Settings-Generic-About.
How do I clean the sand out that gets inside the Chasing Dory body?
*Please check if there’s any foreign objects stuck in the motors, you could try to clean it out with our equipped hook.
*Make the drone body Soak in freshwater.
*If that doesn't work, you can ask the support team(team@wanderlustdrones.com) for help.Please note that if the shell or other accessories are damaged, the customer warranty will be invalid.
Why does the machine move forward or backward in 45°tilt mode?
The current hardware technology is not able to keep the fixed position in 45° tilt mode. Users can keep positioning by slightly pushing reverse or forward on the joystick.
What should I do it my phone connects to the Dory WiFi, but I cannot open the APP camera interface?
Try to delete and reinstall the APP then restart the machine. If you have another phone or tablet,try them as well. It could be a compatibility issue with your phone,if it not the problem above, please contact team@wanderlustdrones.com and provide your phone model and system model.
What should I do if it shows “unlock error/failed” on the APP.
Try the following tips in turn.
*Forget the Dory WiFi password, and reopen the APP .
*Try to delete and reinstall the Dory app and then restart the drone and APP and try again.
*Turn on airplane mode, then close APP background and reopen APP

What can I do if the Chasing Dory doesn't move on remote control/joystick commands?
* Make sure the motor is not stuck on a rock or anything that can fit in the motor shaft area.
* Check whether a custom joystick setting is selected in the APP remote setting page and whether is properly set.
* In order to troubleshoot the remote control issue, please test with the virtual joystick option on your device.
* Lay the Dory drone flat on the ground to keep it level, then calibrate the accelerator according to the instructions, then restart the Dory drone if it fails or succeeds.

After using, why do the drone suddenly starts by touching the socket?
It indicates that the socket has water inside,it needs to be dried in time.
What can I do if the Chasing Dory does not respond during startup?
*Make sure the Chasing Dory are fully charged.
*Make sure the tether connectors are connected tightly.
